Sum-throughput according to the number of nodes. Figure 7 shows the sum-throughput according to the number of nodes in the HTT, AHC, and the proposed H-DHT. As we can see in the Fig. 7, the throughput of both HTT and AHC protocols decreases when the number of nodes increases, because of the network overhead caused by SI transmission. However, the sum-throughput of the H-DHT protocol increases according to the number of nodes, because the H-DHT protocol permit only the nodes, which require reliable data transmission, to send SI message to the H-AP
