Partial transmission at relay. The figure shows the detailed partial transmission at relay. After the relay received signal, it uses the SISO decoder to calculate the soft information of each bit, then the block error probability in the third step. The relay can also get the optimal block size with the information bits, the received SNR, and the average channel gain in the second step. Using the calculation results, several blocks with lower error probability are selected, then encoded with their location information, where the location information is encoded in the imaginary part of the signal
