Call for Papers: Wireless Sensor Networks under 5G for Augmented Reality

With the rapid development of 5G, the use of sensor networks and, more specifically, wireless sensor networks (WSN) has allowed for the development of augmented reality (AR), which are capable of obtaining values to support decision-making in AR environments. To carry out such decision-making, it is necessary to apply artificial intelligence techniques capable of adapting to changes in AR environments in order to create systems that evolve autonomously over time. Currently, it is necessary to apply new information fusion techniques that allow for the processing of information at low and high levels to improve the accuracy of such systems.

Augmented reality is a key technology that will facilitate a major paradigm shift in the way users interact with data and has only just recently been recognized as a viable solution for solving many critical needs. Enter augmented reality (AR) technology, which can be used to visualize data from hundreds of sensors simultaneously, overlaying relevant and actionable information over your environment through a headset. WSN under 5G makes AR technology much faster, with much more data flow. With easier and more accessible use, for a variety of different functions (besides video gaming), widespread adoption seems likely. In summary, AR in the era of 5G is a really cool upcoming wave where the vast repositories of data will enable an AR lens into the scenarios in ways that provide near immediate insight at a level of depth unimaginable previously.

As a result, we are looking for new research and cases studies based on wireless sensor networks under 5G and mobile augmented reality technologies for various applications. It can help technicians to exchange the latest technical progresses.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Wireless sensor networks
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Novel 5G techniques for mobile augmented reality
  • Color constancy for mobile augmented reality (MAR)
  • Human and AR Communication Protocols
  • 5G and Its applications
  • IoT under 5G for AR
  • 5G-based video transfer techniques for AR
  • Novel AR devices
  • Novel privacy protocols for AR
