Call for papers: Human-centered Computing in Cloud / Edge / Fog

In the last few years, human-centered computing (HCC) has gained ever-increasing attention in both academic and industrial areas worldwide. As a cross-disciplinary research domain, HCC enables the effective integration of various human-related computational elements, which significantly benefits the interactions and collaborations between people, cyber space and physical world. With the support of intelligent HCC techniques, an enterprise or organization can develop various Human-Computer applications economically and conveniently to satisfy the complex functional or non-functional computational requirements from diverse users.

However, the recently emerged novel computing paradigms, e.g., cloud, edge and fog, bring huge opportunities and obstacles for the successful development and deployment of various intelligent HCC applications. Therefore, how to integrate the HCC application requirements and the advantages of cloud / edge / fog techniques becomes an interesting but challenging task. This special issue will focus on all aspects related to the HCC theories, techniques and applications in cloud / edge / fog.

Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Human-centered semantic analyses in cloud / edge / fog
  • Knowledge-driven human-computer interaction in cloud / edge /fog
  • Collaborative systems in cloud / edge /fog
  • Big data analyses in HCC
  • Security, privacy and trust in HCC
  • Multi-agent systems in HCC
  • People-cyber-physical interactions
  • Wearable information systems
  • Power, energy and cost of HCC in cloud / edge / fog
  • Integration of cloud / edge / fog techniques / platforms for HCC applications
  • Intelligent interfaces and user modelling
  • Multimedia applications in HCC
